Who these terms are with
This website at sparkfire.us is operated by SparkFire Solutions LLC, trading as SparkFire. “We”, “us” and “our” mean that company; “you” means anyone using the site. By browsing the site, reading the blog, or sending us an enquiry, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.

What this site is — and isn’t
This is a marketing and publishing site. It describes what we do, shows work we’ve delivered, and hosts articles about AI and software. That’s all it is.
Nothing on it is professional advice — technical, legal, financial, or otherwise — and you shouldn’t act on it without advice suited to your own situation. Nothing on it is a binding offer, and reading it or contacting us doesn’t make you a client or create any obligation on either side.
We write about a field that changes fast. An article that was accurate the day we published it may be out of date by the time you read it, and we don’t promise to revisit every page.
If you engage us
Actual project work is governed by a separately signed Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work — not by this page. Those documents set the scope, price, timeline, ownership of deliverables, confidentiality, warranties, and liability for the engagement. Where anything on this website conflicts with a signed agreement, the signed agreement wins.
Results shown in our case studies were achieved for those specific clients, with their data, systems, and constraints. They’re illustrations of what we’ve done, not a forecast of what you’ll get. Any figures, timelines, or pricing mentioned on the site are indicative until they’re written into a Statement of Work.
Using the site
You’re welcome to read, share, and quote what’s here. You agree not to:
- Break the law. Use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes someone else's rights.
- Disrupt the service. Probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the site or the infrastructure behind it, or try to reach any part of it you have not been given access to.
- Harvest at scale. Scrape, crawl, or bulk-collect content or contact details by automated means without our written permission. Ordinary search-engine crawling that respects our robots.txt is welcome and needs no permission.
- Misrepresent us. Claim an affiliation, partnership, or endorsement that doesn't exist, or use SparkFire branding in a way that implies one.
- Abuse the contact form. Send spam, malware, or fraudulent enquiries, or submit someone else's personal details without a lawful reason to share them.
If you do any of the above, we may block your access. We’d rather just ask you to stop — so if you want to do something with the site that isn’t covered here, email us and ask.
Our content
All content on this site — text, articles, graphics, diagrams, code samples, and the design of the site itself — belongs to SparkFire Solutions LLC or our licensors, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The SparkFire name, logo, and tagline are our trademarks.
Quoting and citing. You may quote reasonable extracts — in an article, a report, a post, or an AI-generated answer or summary — provided you attribute the quote to SparkFireand link to the page it came from. We’re glad to be cited. What you may not do is republish a full page, mirror the site, or redistribute our content as your own or as the substance of a competing product.
Code samples.Code published in our articles is offered as an illustration and you may use it in your own projects at your own risk. It hasn’t been written, reviewed, or tested for production use, and it carries no warranty or support.
Client names, logos, and marks appearing in case studies belong to those clients and are shown with their permission.
Anything you send us
Our contact form and inbox aren’t a secure channel. Please don’t send confidential material, credentials, trade secrets, or sensitive personal data through them — tell us you’ve got something sensitive to share and we’ll agree a proper route, under an NDA where that’s appropriate. Sending us an enquiry does not by itself put us under a duty of confidence.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about our services or this site, we may use them freely and without owing you anything for them. That’s not a claim on your business ideas — it exists so an offhand “you should add X to your site” can’t later become a dispute.
What we do with the personal data you give us is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Text messaging
These terms apply when you opt in to receive text messages from us. “Opting in” means requesting, joining, agreeing to, enrolling in, signing up for, acknowledging, responding to, or otherwise consenting to receive one or more text messages. “Text message service” means any arrangement in which we send one or more messages to your mobile number, including SMS, MMS, and any successor protocol or technology.
By consenting to receive text messages from us, you agree to this section, to the rest of these terms, and to our Privacy Policy, which are incorporated here by reference.
Electronic records
By agreeing to receive text messages, you also consent to our using an electronic record to document that agreement. You may withdraw that consent by replying STOP.
What we send, and how often
This is a conversational, person-to-person service between you and a member of our team. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not send automated campaigns. We may send one initial message with details about the service. After that, how many messages you receive depends on the conversation: message frequency varies, and there is no recurring or scheduled send.
What it costs
We don’t charge you for messages you send or receive through this service. Message and data rates may apply, so depending on your plan your mobile carrier may charge you.
Stopping messages
Reply to any message with STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE and we’ll stop. Because this is a person-to-person service, an opt-out applies to the conversation with that team member and their number; if more than one of us has messaged you, reply STOP to each. We may send one confirmation message after you opt out. Reply HELP to any message for help.
Getting help
For support with the text message service, email info@sparkfire.us or call +1 815-742-0681 or +1 815-779-0518.
Links and third-party services
We link to other sites, and we use third-party services — a Microsoft booking page for scheduling calls, analytics providers, our hosting platform. We don’t control any of them and we’re not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. When you follow a link or book a call, that provider’s own terms and privacy policy apply to what happens there.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site up and current, but we don’t guarantee it will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may change, move, or remove any part of it at any time — including articles — without notice. Uptime commitments for systems we build and run for clients live in the relevant service agreement, not here.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, this website and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We don’t warrant that the content is complete, current, or free from error, or that the site is free of harmful components.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain warranties to be excluded, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
Limits of our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of your use of this website — even if we’ve been told such damages are possible.
Our total liability to you for all claims connected with this website is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). The site is free to use and we make no money from your visit; this cap is what makes publishing it viable. Liability for paid engagements is a separate matter, dealt with in the Master Services Agreement for that work.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
If your use causes us a problem
If we face a claim, loss, or cost because you used this site in breach of these terms or in breach of the law, you agree to cover it, including reasonable legal fees. We’ll tell you promptly about any such claim and give you a fair opportunity to be involved in how it’s handled.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Winnebago County, Illinois, and you and we both consent to those courts’ jurisdiction.
If you’re a consumer using the site from outside the United States, this clause doesn’t deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
The rest
Severability. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that part is narrowed to the minimum extent needed to make it valid.
No waiver. If we don’t enforce something straight away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.
Whole agreement. For your use of this website, these terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us, and they replace anything said earlier on the subject. They do not affect, and are not affected by, any signed agreement covering work we do for you.
Changes. We may update these terms as the site changes or the law does. The current version always lives at this address, with the date below. Continuing to use the site after we update it means you accept the new version.
